Alec and Ars were great! Very speedy and careful with furniture. Asked where I would like everything vs plopping it down anywhere! So easy to get an appointment and the rates are very reasonable! They helped pack some of the stuff that was too awkward to fit in any of the boxes I had. The wardrobe boxes, tape, and blankets were included. Where other companies would have charged $500 I made out with $350. Great value!
Barry and Denis just finished our move and we could not have been more impressed! They worked their butts off and got a nearly 200 pound armoire up a very narrow curvy staircase, all with a positive attitude. I could not recommend them more.
I really like how they did things pretty fast, quietly and treating good my stuff. I like how patient they where to move things to the public storage. I really recommend happy home moving Alec & Ars were amazing.

Alec and Ars are highly recommended! Cheap and very good. Despite my elevator being broken, they managed to make the move very swiftly!

5 Basic Moving Supplies and Tools Used by All Professional Movers
Posted on Jul 19, 2019 by Administrator
Moving from one residence or office to another is never easy. But, at one time or another we are all going to have to move. It might be so your kids can go to better schools, for a job opportunity or to see what it’s like living in an entirely different city or state.
What makes moving easier in the 21st Century is that there are so many innovative moving tools and supplies to help relieve the stress. While the list can go on and on, here are the 5 basic moving supplies that your movers will use to make the entire experience a whole lot easier:
Moving Boxes
There is no such thing as an efficient move without a lot of moving boxes. Moving companies have every size and shape you could possibly need so that your belongings can be packed safely and efficiently. Your movers will bring all the right moving boxes, as long as they know in advance the amount, size and shape of the items you plan on taking with you.
Bubble Wrap
Moving fragile items must be done very carefully. It is best to pack them in bubble wrap so they don’t break or suffer any other damage. Bubble wrap is wrapped around anything breakable, like TV screens, computer monitors, glass wear, dishes and etc. before being packed in boxes.
If for some reason you prefer not to use plastic bubble wrap, scrunched up old newspapers or packing paper, pillows, comforters, sheets, blankets and clothing can also be used to protect fragile items. Home improvement stores typically carry bubble wrap and packing paper and you can get plenty of newspapers at convenience stores or from sidewalk dispensers.
Packing or Shipping Tape
Packing or shipping tape is used to seal each box once it’s packed. It’s called packing or shipping tape because that’s what it’s for, to tightly seal packed boxes so that nothing can fall out and get damaged or lost while being shipped.
Lifting Straps
Once all your boxes are packed, they won’t be easy to lift. Moving heavy and difficult items like large furniture pieces must be done carefully and with added support. This is why you need lifting straps. They can be used to lift and pull your heaviest boxes, your televisions, sofas, large appliances, filing cabinets and etc.
Dollies
This piece of equipment is typically used to transport goods in industrial warehouses, shopping centers and supermarkets. Moving companies use dollies to transport boxes and other heavy items from the residence or office to the truck and vice versa when arriving at the new location.
Conclusion
Although your moving boxes will have some tears in them once they’ve been used, those tears can be sealed up with packing tape so your boxes can be reused. Don’t toss them out because you can save time and money by using these boxes for your next move.
If you’re not planning on hiring a moving company you can always rent moving tools from certain stores. If you’re not planning to move very often it doesn’t make sense to spend money buying the tools. But if you do decide to purchase them, you can find the best deals online, plus you can read the reviews ahead of time, which will help you decide which tools you will need.
